Winter ‘26/Spring ‘26

Dear Temple Beth El Family,

What a fantastic end to 2025 we had! Shabbanukah was fantastic, 2nd Saturday/Shabbatstock has been well attended, and each of our programs and events were awesome.

New Year 2026 got off to a great start too! We celebrated Tu BiShvat with the JLC putting on such a wonderful program inside, because it was too cold outside. Miss Barb led a great Tu BiShvat Seder that was yummy and delicious.

Having a table at two community events – the Hollywood Pride Festival and the South Florida Folk and Acoustic Music Festival – was a wonderful opportunity to show our support, as well as to introduce ourselves and be welcoming. We are truly blessed to have an Executive Director who is so in tune with the community around us!

Now we look forward to the next three months!

One of my favorite Shabbats is this month on February 20th – the Gospel Shabbat is back! Also in February, there is a field trip to the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center in Dania Beach, organized by our Adult Ed Committee.

March 1st is our Community Purim Festival – FREE for all to attend, with real rides, a Purim Spiel, and so much more! In April, we welcome Passover with our Community Seder, and this year, we are hosting Temple Sinai of Hollywood for our joint Yom HaShoah program. Let’s pack the house for this event!

Please be sure to read Trending every Thursday in your email. There are so many fantastic programs for you to attend, both in person and on Zoom. Also, if you ever have questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to me; I would love to hear about them.

As I had said in my Yom Kippur speech, my dream for our TBE family and our building is to be more community-oriented. It is to open our hearts, our minds, and our doors to include the community around us; to understand that our Temple is here for all!
